Managing Stress During Menopause

We understand that menopause can be a challenging time, and stress can make it even harder. It’s important to know that stress and menopause often go hand in hand, but there are ways to manage them effectively.

Many of the common symptoms of menopause, such as weight gain, low libido, digestive issues, anxiety, and depression, can be related to stress. That’s why it’s essential to lower your stress levels, both emotionally and physically, during this time.

During midlife, we face a lot of demands on our time and energy, especially in the workplace. Demands come from all directions: managers, co-workers, deadlines, and meetings. Plus, in perimenopause or menopause, women are also dealing with their body’s physical and emotional changes. This can create a perfect storm of stress that can be challenging to navigate.

Help with managing stress during menopause

At Mission Menopause, we understand the unique challenges that women face during this transition and offer support and guidance for managing stress in the workplace. Reducing stress is one of the most effective ways to regulate hormones and reduce menopausal symptoms.

Top tips

Here are some stress management strategies that we recommend:

  • Take time for physical activity. Regular exercise can work wonders for your body and soul. It’s an excellent all-around stress reliever.
  • Put down the technology. While gadgets can be fun and useful, they can also increase your stress levels. If you find yourself getting over-involved or wired by your technology, consider putting them down for the last hour or two before bedtime.
